Unifying a global organization
We approach rebranding as an operating system for global growth.
The organization had grown into multiple brands, four independent websites, fragmented communications, and a ten-syllable name that created barriers both inside and outside the ministry. Growth had introduced complexity, and complexity was slowing the organization down.
Working alongside executive leadership, The Creative Studio shaped and advanced the strategic case for simplification, demonstrating why a new name, a unified brand, and a single digital ecosystem were essential to the organization’s future.
This wasn‘t simply a branding decision. It was an organizational decision that would influence every ministry, every department, and every global leader.
The greatest challenge wasn’t redesigning the brand. It was earning the confidence to change it.
Finance, Technology, Marketing & Communications, Development, Executive Leadership, and ministry leaders around the world all had to embrace a shared direction.
That meant proving the value of simplification before asking the organization to invest in it.
Rapid prototypes became an essential leadership tool, helping stakeholders see the future before committing to it.
Everyone gave up something, but the organization gained a unified foundation for everything that followed.
The brand system extended across every major audience and service line, supporting a complex ecosystem of communications, experiences, resources, and environments. It brought consistency to multi-day live and virtual trainings, learning management systems, national and global conferences, registration experiences, publications, donor communications, environmental graphics, and the extensive resources required by participants, facilitators, and staff.
Working alongside trademark counsel, The Creative Studio successfully secured Via, a common word that became the foundation of a global brand.
The identity wasn’t designed for one office. It was designed to serve more than twenty countries while preparing the ministry for continued international growth.
The greatest outcome wasn’t a new identity. It was shared belief.
Work completed at Via under the creative leadership of Joe Michie, Creative Director and Head of the Creative Studio.
